Arun Joshi was an Indian writer who was born in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh in the year 1939 and he died in 1993 at the age of 54. His famous works are The Strange Case of Billy Biswas (1971) and The Apprentice (1974). He won the Sahitya Akademi Award for his novel The Last Labyrinth in 1982.
